Wren in Rome

Wren in Rome is a card battling video game in development by Brian Cronin.

Brief

  • Create initial card layout designs following the form of classic card battlers like Pokemon and Hearthstone

  • Incorporate a classical Roman influence to the design to evoke gladiatorial combat

  • Design a variety of bird gladiator characters inspired by historical gladiators and incorporating different classes/strategies

Goals

  • Information readable at-a-glance: character class, abilities, offensive/defensive, HP

  • Let the fun come through! It’s a silly concept; push the cartoony feeling
